Shotcrete Pools

Custom shotcrete pools, built in-house.

Every DiGi Pools build is a custom concrete pool with a shotcrete shell. Shotcrete is concrete that's mixed before it reaches your yard, then sprayed over a tied steel rebar frame, so your steps, benches and tanning ledge are shaped right into the shell. Our own crew does it all, from the dig to the first swim.

Shotcrete vs Gunite

Shotcrete and gunite, in plain words.

Both are concrete pools

Shotcrete and gunite both spray concrete over steel to make a strong, custom-shaped shell. That's why people often use the names for the same thing.

Shotcrete is mixed first

The concrete arrives already mixed with water, then it's pumped through a hose and sprayed into place.

Gunite is mixed at the nozzle

Gunite starts as a dry mix, and water is added at the nozzle as it's sprayed.

Why we build with shotcrete

The mix is set before it reaches your yard, so every load is consistent. Then our crew shapes it by hand to your plan.

    Dig, rebar & shotcrete shell

We dig your pool to plan, tie a full steel rebar cage, then spray a thick shotcrete shell with the steps and benches built right in — a rock-solid foundation that lasts for decades.

  2. Flagstone coping and waterline tile set around the pool shell before plaster2

Coping & tile, ready for pebble

We hand-set natural flagstone coping and waterline tile around every curve, so the shell is prepped and ready for the deck pour and its smooth pebble finish.

Our crew forms, pours and finishes the concrete deck, then tops it with Kool Deck — a cool-to-the-touch surface that stays comfortable on bare feet, even in a Georgia summer.

FAQ

Questions homeowners ask us.

Is shotcrete the same as gunite?

They're close cousins. Both are sprayed concrete over steel. Shotcrete is mixed before it's sprayed; gunite is mixed with water at the nozzle.

Do you build gunite pools?

We build with shotcrete. If you've been looking at gunite pools, you get the same kind of custom concrete pool, with steps, benches and ledges shaped right in.

How long does it take to build a pool?

About 60–90 days from the dig to your first swim. Weather can move that a little, and we keep you updated the whole way.

How much does a shotcrete pool cost?

Most custom pools we build run $75,000–$150,000, depending on size, finishes, a spa, decking and your yard.
